Project Overview: Ground-Up Detached Garage & Workshop Build

This ground-up construction project delivered a custom detached garage and workshop for a homeowner in Washington County, Oregon. Starting from an open wooded lot, the goal was to provide secure vehicle storage, weather protection, and dedicated space for tools and seasonal equipment.

Skyview Remodeling handled the full construction lifecycle, from initial concrete foundation work and timber framing through exterior siding, metal roofing, and door installation.

Scope of Work & Real Craftsmanship Details

• Foundation & Framing From the Ground Up: Excavated and poured reinforced concrete stem walls with a gravel base, followed by structural 2x4 and 2x6 timber wall stud framing and engineered gable roof trusses.
• White Lap Siding & Corner Trims: Wrapped the exterior with clean white horizontal lap siding and wide corner trim boards, giving the outbuilding a crisp, cohesive look.
• Standing-Seam Metal Roof: Installed a durable dark metal gable roof with matching white fascia and seamless white gutters, designed to easily shed Pacific Northwest rain, pine needles, and debris.
• Panel Garage Door With Upper Windows: Fitted a white sectional overhead garage door featuring four traditional glass window panes across the top panel, allowing natural daylight to fill the workshop interior.
• Exterior Pedestrian Entry Door: Added a convenient white six-panel side service door with heavy-duty entry hardware, plus exterior electrical rough-ins for future lighting fixtures.
